Day 7: Sea World

Our last day of fun. I think Sea World was a great way to end our vacation. Everyone had a great time and the kids were fascinated with the animals.
We started the day at the sea star exhibit. We ended our day at the sea star exhibit. The kids loved looking at them and picking them up. Enoch kept telling everyone that they needed to keep them in the water or they would die. We were told by an employee that there were two sea stars with six legs instead of the customary five. Enoch found both of them within a few minutes (there were hundreds of sea stars in the exhibit).

We were also able to feed the dolphins in the morning. This is Greg's favorite part of Sea World. The boys were very excited and Kate was apprehensive. Greg, Gavin and Enoch all fed and petted the dolphin, Cortez, but Kate wouldn't touch him. She likes her animals soft and furry, not wet and rubbery. However, she did say later on that the dolphin was her favorite. She particularly enjoyed the dolphin show. We also fed the sea lions. What show offs, but so fun. Kate also wouldn't feed the sea lions, but did ask later in the day when we were going to feed the sharks. Go figure!

We walked through a few aquariums. You know, killer whales and dolphins are beautiful, but there are a lot of ugly fish out there. Enoch and Kate liked looking at them though. Enoch kept saying, "Those fish are waving at me. Hello!"

The kids all had a difficult time naming which show they enjoyed the most. The Shamu show was incredible. Gavin and Enoch kept saying, "Whoa! Did you see that?" We sat in the splash zone, but did not get wet.

We laughed and laughed at the Pet's Rule and Sea Lion shows. Enoch had a huge grin on his face the entire time. They were hilarious. We were able to meet some of the stars of the Pet's Rule show afterward. Kate was quite leery of the pig, but both her and Enoch petted the dog.

Enoch announced at the end of the day that he was going to be a sea lion trainer so he could be in the show.

Yet again, the kids absolutely enjoyed the playground. They played and played until we dragged them away. This playground wasn't fenced off like the others, so we had to keep a closer eye on the kids.

We had such a wonderful time. We were tired and our feet hurt, but the kids did great. It was sad to know our vacation was over, but I think we had all the fun we could.

I agree with Michelle. I love Sea World! I hope to see Enoch as a trainer there someday. With his love of animals, it's a definite possibility. This whole post just made me smile. The memories are just as much fun as the fun was!
