Pretty Girl

Kate looked so cute in her blessing dress and I wanted some pictures (since I got hardly any on her blessing day). The kids just had their pictures taken at Target a few weeks before so I was hesitant to take her back for pictures in her blessing dress, so I snapped a hew at home. I think they turned out very cute, but I still took her in for professional pictures.

Randall Spring Celebration

Rather than trying to squeeze in two family Easter parties, the Randall decided to celebrate Spring a few weeks later. We hunted eggs, opened presents, ate lunch and enjoyed being with each other. We passed around the babies and soaked up the sun. What a fun day!

Kate's Blessings

I can't believe I didn't get more pictures of this special day. I guess I was too busy running around. Anyway, it was an amazing day. Kate was so beautiful in her blessing dress and she was very well behaved. Greg gave her a wonderful blessing that included following the examples of her grandmothers who she was named after. Also, to follow the guidance of her parents and brothers. It was incredible and Greg and I cried through the entire prayer.
It was such a special time getting my daughter dressed in her blessing dress. I didn't realize how much that would mean to me. I got teary the whole time I was getting her dressed. She is so beautiful and I always want her to know how much I love her.
After church, we had family over for brunch and to visit. We served muffins, breakfast casserole and a yogurt parfait bar. I think everyone had a good time catching up and eating.

Bathtime

Kate really doesn't like her baths. She gets cold so easily and quickly. We just try to get her in and out. Soon, she'll graduate to the 'big baby tub'. Maybe she'll like that more?

So long Bob!

You wouldn't think it would be so hard to say good-bye to a car, but it is like saying farewell to a friend. We have had the Saturn for 12 years! I can't believe it has been that long. It has been a remarkable car and we will miss it.
We bought the Saturn when Greg and I had been married about one year. It was our first major purchase and I was so nervous about spending that much money on a car (it was about $11,000). We have more than got our money's worth out of this car - great gas mileage (about 35 highway) and very few repairs. But, all good things must come to an end. We didn't want to sell the Saturn, but we needed a bigger family car with three kids, also we needed to keep a 4-wheel drive vehicle to drive up to the cabin in the winter. So, with great reluctance, we listed our Saturn on KSL.com. We waited, and waited, and waited. Nothing. Finally, my dad bought it to give to my cousin for payment on helping them build their new house.
We love our Honda van and Trooper, but we will always remember our Saturn. Greg nicknamed it "Bob" after Robert Redford, my favorite actor. Good bye Bob, we will miss you.
