Day 3: Disneyland

Today we left early after a great breakfast at the hotel (waffles, eggs, toast, cereal, donuts, milk, juice, etc). We planned to spend the day in Disney California. We sent Jarom to get our World of Color fast passes and the rest of us got in line for Buzz Lightyear (I'm not sure of the exact name of this ride). The line wasn't too bad, but still long. It was such a fun ride. Everyone loved it. I think it was probably Enoch's favorite ride. Even the adults liked the competition. Greg and Jarom completely blew the rest of us away with their scores, but Greg held the high score of the day (for our family). We had so much fun we were willing to stand in line for it again later in the afternoon.

The kids really liked It's a Bugs Life area. We went on all the rides, played in the water and just walked around. It was great for the kids because the lines were short and Kate could go on everything. Grandma, Mom, Enoch and Kate had a lot lot fun here while the big boys went on Tower of Terror.

Somewhere in the mix of getting tickets out for fast passes, we lost my ticket. Grrrr! I needed it to get back into the park the next day. We spent some time at customer service trying to figure it out. Since we hadn't purchased the tickets (and we couldn't tell Disney that we were splitting park hoppers because they frown upon that) we had no proof that I had a ticket. Our only hope was to pray that someone honest would find it and turn it in. By the end of the day, lost and found did not have my ticket.
We also rode on the swings (which Enoch hated because they went up high), the carousel (which Kate loved) and California Screamin' (at least the big boys) which was Gavin's favorite ride. I think they went on that roller coaster at least three times. Grandpa, Mom, Enoch and Kate rode the carousel and played in the fountains while waiting

One ride that everyone enjoyed (except Kate, who was too short) was California Soarin'. It was a fun relaxing ride that wasn't too jerky, too high, too scary. I think Kate and Enoch enjoyed playing in the misters out front as much as the ride.

We walked back to the hotel for dinner and a short rest. My feet were quite achy and tired so I opted not to walk back and stand through World of Color. Everyone else went and really enjoyed it. Again, we were all tired and slept well that night.

More Disneyland fun! Love the pic with the 3D glasses on. That was a great ride! I would have liked to have done it more!
