Scattered Thoughts on Gavin

1.  Gavin got his yellow post card in the mail.  You know what that means?  Hooray!  His Eagle Scout application has been approved and he is official!  Now we need to plan the Court of Honor.
2. Watch out! Gavin has his Learner's Permit!
3.  First time driving!  Wow!  Mom has so many mixed emotions about this one.
4.  Gavin was invited to 9th Grade Honors night.  We all figured it was because he is on the high honor roll.  Turns out they neglected to recognize Gavin for his GPA (even though his cumulative GPA is 3.96), but he received another award.  Gavin was honored as the Computer Science Student of the Year.  We are so proud of him!  Congratulations!
5.  Gavin's spring band concert was the last time he will play his baritone sax.  He isn't broken-hearted over it.  It really isn't his favorite, but they band needed a bari and he was able to make the transition the easiest.   He has really enjoyed his time in junior high band.  Now - on to high school where he will have two periods of band (Symphonic and Jazz) and after school Marching Band.
