Gavin has reached 15 years. Some of those years have gone by faster than others.
Gavin is amazing. Really, amazing. I am so lucky to have him in my life. He inspires me, he teaches me, he stretches me, he humors me, he believes in me, he loves me. And I love him. So much.
We have started a tradition in our family that instead of birthday presents (after the age of 12), you get a birthday Temple trip. Gavin has chosen to wait and take his trip in October to the Logan Temple. Yes, the same weekend that BYU will be playing Utah State.
Having just said that, Gavin did get a few presents - one from necessity and one for fun.
Isn't it exciting - a razor. Have to get rid of that peach fuzz somehow.
And for fun - shorts. Purple and white shorts. I fully expect him to wear them! (Greg picked these up at the company store and we think they are hilarious!)
For dinner, Gavin chose to have steak, potatoes and salad with homemade lemonade. It was very yummy. (Those are wimpy portions for Gavin - trust me, he had seconds, thirds, etc.).
For dessert, Gavin chose a double-layered chocolate cake. Kate decorated it with sprinkles and Enoch counted out the candles.
Happy Birthday, Gavin! We love you so much!
PS - This kid just keeps growing. He has officially hit 6 foot.
