Easter weekend is always so much fun! It means Spring is here. It means family. It means candy. It means a lot of things. It is a special time to think about our Savior and His Atonement. Not that we can't do this year round, but I love having a separate, special time to teach my kids about Jesus and His Resurrection. It's a great weekend.
This Easter was extra great because my parents returned home from their mission a few days earlier.
We started off the weekend with the Randall family Easter party and egg hunt. After dinner, we searched for eggs in the backyard. The kids had a blast. Guard was all new to this and thought it was great. He found one egg and would put it in his basket. And then take it out. And then put it in. What entertainment!
It was so much fun to be together as a family again.
The next day the Easter bunny came in the morning. The kids got some fun things in their baskets and the whole family got an outdoor projector with screen! We can't wait to use it.
All the kids were looking forward to the Evans Easter party at Uncle Bud's Ranch. It's a tradition to roast hot dogs, hunt for eggs and ride the horses. The kids found a bunch more eggs, but the horses were a hit. Enoch was old enough to ride by himself this year and he thought that was so awesome!
It was a great, warm afternoon.
On Sunday, we attended church with the Kellys because they were blessing Lucy. It was a busy morning to get everyone ready and in Salt Lake by 9am, but we made it (barely). The kids looked so wonderful in their new Easter clothes. Such cute kids! (I made Kate's dress, but the boys all got store-bought ties. I know! Can you believe it?!)
Aaaaand...surly Gavin. Isn't it great being a teenager!
It was a busy weekend, but so much fun. Happy Easter!
