1. Last night I tucked Enoch into bed. Either Greg or I have to go downstairs and physically take his book away and turn off his lamp at 8:30 pm. We then have to take the book upstairs so Enoch won't secretly turn on his light and kept reading. Last night as I took away his book, I asked him where his bookmark was. He said, "Oh, I don't have one." I then asked how he knew where he was, does he remember the page number? "Nope," he said, "I just start in a different place every time I read." Huh? I asked him what the book was about and he told me about all the characters and the storyline. Apparently that works for him.
2. Gavin has decided to get serious about the saxophone. He has taken private lessons before, but this time he really researched his teacher and found one that will really work for him. Unfortunately for me, that teacher is located on BYU campus (in the bowels of the HFAC; we wandered for a good 15 minutes before we found his office.) Grrr! Only 59 more weeks before he can drive himself down.
3. During Gavin's saxophone lesson on Tuesday, the kids and I went to the Creamery to pick up some yummy BYU milk (and I caved and got ice cream too). When we were done, we drove back to the HFAC to pick up Gavin. He was about 10 minutes late coming out, so we just drove in circles around the parking lot to keep Guard asleep and because all the Visitor Parking was full. Enoch asked why we were driving around and I told him it was because I didn't want to get a ticket (BYU is quite notorious for parking tickets). Kate said, "I want a ticket. A ticket to what? Where are we going?" Crazy. We are going crazy.
