Enoch is hilarious (his new favorite word). A few weeks ago, he developed a new fear; not monsters, aliens, robbers - he was afraid of spies. Not sure where that came from, but it didn't last long. Now he is telling me he wants to be a spy and he plays spy all the time. We are going to have to play more hide and seek with this kid. He is the giggliest hider!
Anyway, while going through his spy phobia, he drew a sign and taped it to his bedroom door. He drew a picture of him and then a picture of a spy and then put a 'X' through the spy, because we all know that will keep spies out of Enoch's room. This kept him pretty happy for a few days. However one day, after getting mad at me, I got put on the sign too, with a 'X' through me. Kate was added with a 'X' through her only hours later. Now, spies, Mom and Kate are not allowed in Enoch's room. Dad still is.
Enoch was pretty darn proud of himself until I told him that he would be cleaning his room by himself since I wasn't allowed in there. He solved that problem by taking down the sign during job time and then taping it back up when his room was clean.
Thinking like that will come in handy when he is a spy.

He's smart to figure out the way around room cleaning.
There's an episode of Curious George he might like..."Spy Monkey". :) Preston loves it.
Thinking like that will help him in any job he wants to do--pretty clever! I still love the scanned in pictures! Genius! We love seeing them and enjoy the story behind them. Give a hug to the little "spy." We love him, even if he doesn't like to clean his room!
