Christmas Activities - Week 1

Dec 1 - Ornament
Dec 2 - Gingerbread Cookies - Enoch adores these cookies.  We used our woodland creatures cutters from Ikea.  Kate loves the wolf, Enoch likes the hedgehog and Guard always uses the bear cub.  The cookies were gone the next day!
Dec 3 - Ornament
Dec 4 - Ornament
Dec 5 - Live Nativity
Dec 6 - A Prophet's Christmas - This year we learned about John Taylor.  He was a great missionary, serving six missions.  He served as President of the St George Temple, also overseeing the construction of that temple.  He wrote extensively in his journals about working on the temple on Christmas day and how the Saints were so willing and excited to work through the entire holiday so the temple could be completed.
We decided to build our own temple - out of Legos.  We used the Architecture set (which are all white) and let the kids pick which temple they wanted to build.  They chose Mount Timpanogos.
Enoch has already decided which temple he is building next - Kirtland.  And it will be bigger, he promised, with trees.  Can't wait to see it!
Dec 7 - Christmas movie, ornament - The kids watched Frozen.  That counts right?  It's snowy.  And Guard loves Sven, so he doesn't mind sitting through it.  Wasn't Enoch first choice, but he also seemed alright with it.  Kate, of course, loved it.
