Independence Day

We packed as much fun into one day as we could!
The day before, after the balloons, we spend some time at Airborne.  The kids loved it!  So much fun.
The kids went swimming at the Ford's neighborhood pool after lunch, while I put Guard down for a nap.
Later that evening, we all gathered at Ford's for dinner, games, fireworks an fun.  It was great.
 Dinner was delicious, as usual.
Greg brought his air-powered rocket launcher he made for Scouts. All the kids made paper rockets, launched them and ran after them to catch them.  They had a blast.
We watched tanks and flowers.  And caught parachute guys.
We did snaps (Guard's favorite).
And sparklers.
Finally, we cleaned up, got comfortable with chairs and blankets and sat back and watched the Thanksgiving Point fireworks.  They were great this year, as usual.  It's always amazing to me how kids can fall asleep during the boom of fireworks, but we had a couple doze off.
What a great day spend with family, celebrating our blessed country!
