I made a deliberate decision on Sunday to let some things go during Spring Break. I wasn't going to make my kids do daily jobs, I was going to plan a fun activity every day and I wasn't going to sweat the small stuff (ie: messes, fights, etc). I'm trying.
Enoch and Kate were playing school this morning. Apparently Kate attends a cardboard boat building school because that is what Professor Enoch was teaching. They had their boxes, tape and scissors and were putting together some boats. At about 11:30, I called them to lunch. "But, Mom, we are still at school," whined Enoch. Okay, I'll play along. I packed all three kids lunches for them to eat at school (in Kate's room).
Why don't I do things like this more. You would have thought I had given them the moon. They had so much fun eating and talking (no fighting or arguing!). WOW! Can we play school everyday? Gavin even conducted a mock fire drill after lunch was over. And then - Gavin cleaned up Kate's entire room. Yes, cleaned her entire room. WOW again! I have great kids.

What an amazing mom you are. Your kids are so creative because you allow them to be. So cute.
Good job, Mom! Great job, Gavin! And congratulations, Enoch and Kate! You get straight A's!
