I tried during Spring Break to plan a fun activity every day. We did pretty well, except for Wednesday when the kids were just busy playing and I didn't feel like I needed to interrupt that for a scheduled activity to the farm.
On Monday, we made spring flowers out of coffee filters. Yeah, I felt a little weird buying those at Walmart and now I have about 70 coffee filters in my cabinet. Maybe more spring flowers next year? We followed a tutorial I found online where you color the filters with markers and then spritz with a spray bottle of water. Enoch and Kate had a great time (anything with markers is a winner). I loved to see their creative flowers.
On Tuesday we spent some time in the kitchen - one of Enoch's and Kate's favorite activities. (Gavin was around during Spring Break, just too cool for family activities.) Enoch, Kate and Hazel (our friend from next door) baked sprinkle cookies. They kids loved the sprinkles and the cookies were very easy and yummy. It's great as a mom to see such simple joy through your kid's eyes.
Wednesday we played, Thursday, Friday and Saturday we spend with Grandma and Grandpa Randall. It was a great Spring Break.
