Midnight Harry Potter Movie

Gavin and I have been so excited to see the latest Harry Potter movie. We bought our tickets a month ago and picked out excellent seats for the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We went with Aunt Michelle, Aunt Valerie and Uncle Jarom. We had a great time. The midnight showing was so fun because all the crazy Harry Potter fanatics dress up, re-enact movie scenes, stage magical fights and are full of enthusiasm.
I know there have been mixed reviews about this movie. I really liked it. It was very funny, had more character development that some of the other films, the acting improved and it was just fun to see it with Gavin. I know some are disappointed in the ending, but really it didn't bother me too much. Gavin was frustrated with the conclusion, but overall he said he liked it as well. (If you haven't gone yet, beware of the PG rating. It is quite intense in some parts. I will not be taking Enoch.) We are so excited for the next two movies. I think the midnight showing will be a tradition in our family.
PS - We didn't get home until 3:30am. I didn't get to sleep until 4am and Greg had saxophone lessons at 8am. I was lucky enough to get a nap!

It was a lot of fun. I think for the next midnight showing we need to go to the Jordan Commons, I think it would be more fun at their party.

We saw the movie yesterday for our preparation day (and late birthday celebration) and we loved it! I kept thinking about it during the day after I saw it! I loved the scene near the end where they all raise their wands to the sky. I thought about all the people throughout the world who fight against evil and I thought it was a great symbolic representation. Oh, and I also thought it was funny and entertaining. There could have been improvements to the end, but I wasn't disappointed by it. I hope we're around for the next one. I'm up for a midnight movie!
