We left Friday afternoon - it took us quite awhile to pack up. Why is that? So much stuff for 24 hours! Friday we just relaxed at the cabin, let the boys watch as much TV as they wanted, went on some ATV rides and ate frozen pizza for dinner.
In the morning the boys were anxious to get back on the trail. They took off looking for a geocache and Kate and I went for a walk and then Kate took a nap. Before her nap, Kate was exploring the cabin. She can smell chocolate 2 miles away. She found Grandpa Dee's stash of peanut M&Ms. I thought she was being too quiet and good! By the time I found her, she had the jumbo bag clutched in her little hand and about 10 M&Ms in her checks. She was very happy.
The boys were gone for quite awhile, but never did find the cache. Grandpa Dee came up to the cabin to work on his dirt hills and Kate sat at the window and watched him on his tractor for 20 minutes. Enoch and Gavin watched way too much Sponge Bob and Greg finally commandeered the remote and flipped to Mythbusters.
Gavin and I went for a ride and he took me up a trail I had never been on before. It was beautiful (and bumpy). We had a great time but had to head back early because my machine was low on gas. It was a great ride though.
We had such a great time. The boys love 4-wheeling. Enoch was so excited to sleep over (even though we forgot his jammies). He loves Grandpa's cabin. Gavin liked the cable TV, riding ATVs, and playing in our s'more roasting fire. Kate loved being outside, playing in the loft and riding the ATV.
It's always a pain to pack up and clean up, but we have a system now. We got home about 4 pm. We started laundry, ate dinner (our hot dogs we accidentally left at home), showered and watched Wipeout. What a great weekend!

Thank you, Grandpa Dee, for making such a fun family time possible! Thank you, Tresa, for making us a part of your weekend through your blog. Thank you for inviting us to open our mission call at the cabin. It's a treasured memory and now we have a picture in our head of your weekend at the cabin because we are familiar with it. Keep making memories, even if you forget pajamas and hot dogs. At least you didn't go to the Uintahs and forget sleeping bags! (Which we did when you were little like your children).
What a fun trip. I love the short ones the best. I love Kate's picture up in the loft and that she loves chocolate!!
