I'm getting the creepies just writing this post.
Enoch found all sorts of fun things in the yard today. Yes, that is a shedded snake skin that he is holding. Yuck! It doens't bother Enoch at all and he was quite fascinated with it. In his other hand is a live grasshopper. Enoch was holding it by the legs and would put it right up next to his eye to get a better look.
He loves all kids of creatures, especially bugs. He collects rolly collies (potato bugs) in a cup (he puts bark and grass in with them to make them more comfortable). He loves lady bugs. He is afraid of sting bees, but that does not stop him from chasing them around the yard.
I was okay with the grasshopper today, but the snake skin was too much. He was so excited that Dad told him he could keep it. It is now in the garage (he was quite upset he couldn't keep it in his room). I never know what Enoch is going to find in the yard. He is my famous backyard explorer. Let's just say, he keeps me wondering and on my toes. (Sorry, I can't get that picture to turn.)

Look at his face!! He looks so happy. I would not be ok with the snake skin, but of course I am deathly afraid of snakes.
I see a budding biologist or entomologist or "snakeologist" coming up in our family. Keep him looking and finding--he's learning a lot. Snakeskins won't hurt anything--the snakes may be another story. We love you, Enoch!
OH, I hate snakes. I would have made Greg go out and patrol the yard to find the snake. Cute post!
