Spring is Here! Sorta

I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. I love the longer days, warmer weather, the feeling of spring fever, making plans for the summer. I hate the fact that all of that can be taken away any day by an early-morning dusting of snow. I've lived in Utah for most of my life, I understand March/April weather. I try not to get too excited about the sun shining, knowing that snow is still coming along with bitter winds. Like I said, love/hate.
This week we had some beautiful days of warm spring weather (the warm before the storm). I was so happy, just plain happy, to see some of my crocus flowers blooming earlier this week. My yellow one always come out first, followed by my white and purple. The seem so dainty and small, but I know that they can withstand the snow. Good thing, since it snowed the next day!
Enoch and Kate loved looking at the flowers. Enoch would just 'pet' them while I kept warning him not the pick them. A few seconds later, he would ask why, why, why we can't pick them. I finally took him inside. Kate loved being outside. She isn't brave enough to walk on the grass yet, so she would walk back and forth along our path from the front door to the driveway, stopping to see the flowers with each pass. After going inside, she stood at the front door and screamed for 20 minutes because she wanted to go out again.
Hoping that spring is soon in coming; if not, I'm on my way to crazy!

"Springtime is coming, is coming today for I heard a robin who is calling her this way." That's an old Primary song that I learned in Primary years ago. I don't know if it's even in our book any more. But it's a good one and it's true!
