Why does the chicken have no teeth?
I don't know, why does the chicken have no teeth? Gavin asked me this question when he got home from school a few days ago (remember Gavin's obsession with chickens). It took me a few second to figure it out. Gavin had lost another tooth. That is three teeth in a few weeks. At this rate, we will be feeding him the same diet as Kate. He is excited to be losing his teeth, but also hesitant because he knows braces are coming as soon as all his permanent teeth are in. Unfortunately for him, the tooth fairy is having a hard time remembering to come to our house. Maybe she will have to take him out to dinner and a movie for all his teeth! Make that, ice cream and a movie if Gavin keeps losing teeth at this rate!

Wow, what a discerning mom to figure out what he really meant from the chicken comment.
You can tell him chicken don't have teeth because they don't need them to eat the seeds that are part of their diet. They eat rocks so the seed get ground up in their gizzards.
Yup, I'm full of useless information like that.
well maybe the orthodontist was wrong, they are sooner than you think!!!

You're growing faster and faster every day! I didn't know why chickens didn't have teeth, either. Thanks to Winnie for fillng us in. Make sure the "tooth fairy" makes good on her promises. :) Love,
Grandma P.S. Don't be too hard on the "tooth fairy," it's a hard job!
