Mornings

If you come to our house in the morning, this is where you will find Enoch and Kate.  Sitting on the heater vent in the kitchen.  They come out of their rooms in the morning with a blanket each and head straight for the vent.  Luckily, they have figured out that they can share (or sometimes one will move to the vent in the family room about 10 feet away).
Kate looks a little bleary, doesn't she?  Not surprising since she gets up way too early.  The kids get up early enough to see Greg before he leaves for work at 6:30-6:45am.  Yeah, we are all tired at our house.  Thank goodness that my morning sickness has cleared up a bit so I'm a little more understanding first thing in the morning.  I finally explained to Enoch and Kate that the earlier that Dad leaves for work, the earlier he can come home. When they get up early and want to play, that means that Dad can't leave as early.   I think that made sense because the kids have started sleeping in a bit (plus I made the rule that you can't come out of your room until your alarm goes off at 7am!)  Enoch is still in love with his Yoda alarm clock, so he is fine with this (I often hear him singing in his room about 6:50am).  We still need to find Kate an alarm clock (that is pink, of course) so she will know when it is 7am.
Mornings are pretty hectic at our house, but things go smoother when we are rested and happy!

We totally used to sit on the heat vent when we were little...(my brothers and I). Good thing there were several good floor vents in our house, because we didn't share. haha :)
