The Family That Went Camping

Kindergartners are asked to tell a story in front of their class that has a beginning, middle and end and use visual aids. Enoch's teacher suggested flannel board stories from the library, fairy tales, etc. Enoch, of course, wanted to make up his own story and pictures.
He came up with a great story about a family going camping. Then, using his toys and camera, he took pictures to tell his story.

The Family That Went Camping.

Once upon a time there was a family who went camping. They packed up their motor home.

They had a long drive so they got on the highway. They didn't see the mud pit.

The motor home got stuck in a giant mud pit. They couldn't get out. The mom said, "Oh no!"

A big, strong truck was driving the other way. He had just come back from camping.

The blue truck saw the stuck motor home and stopped to help. The mom said, "Yahoo, we are saved!"

The truck hooked up his rope to the motor home. He pulled and pulled until the motor home was freed from the mud pit.

The family was so happy to be out of the mud pit.

The family got to the campground just in time for lunch. They set up their table and ate. They had a fun camping trip. The End.

(Enoch then takes a bow.)

Love Enoch's creativity and plot to the story. I also love that it is based on camping, he comes from Randall blood :)
