A Great Pi(e) Day

Today the kids were out of school, so we did some fun things. Our pass to Thanksgiving Point expired a bit ago, so we hadn't been there in a while. We got a new pass today and had a great time at the Dinosaur Museum and Farm.
Enoch and Kate love the Dinosaur Museum. Kate was a bit nervous walking in and seeing all the bones, but she quickly warmed up and was running around trying to keep up with Enoch (Gavin elected to 'hang out' with friends rather than go to Thanksgiving Point). They both really enjoyed the sand table and digging in the Quarry. It was a lot of fun.
It was lunchtime after the museum, so we headed to the Deli for lunch. Enoch and Kate loved their dino nuggets and fries and my Baja chicken salad was the best lunch I've had in a long time!
Even though it was overcast, we visited the Farm. We only made it on pony rides, a buggy ride and to see the ducks before it started to rain. The kids still had a lot of fun, especially on the buggy ride.
Enoch kept saying how much fun this day was - over and over and over. It was a very fun day.
Since it was also pi day, I came home and baked a chocolate mousse pie. It turned out great and the kids and Greg all really liked it. We now have two people in our family who understand the concept of pi (Greg and Gavin), but the rest of us are still happy to celebrate it's day too!

Sounds like a very fun day! You made it that way! Good job! I wish I had been there. I love pie, but was too busy to make any. Maybe I'll figure out my own "Pi(e) Day"

Gavin is a party pooper, but looks like your other kids had fun. I hope they realize how lucky they are to have such an amazing mom.
