Dear Grandma & Grandpa

Dear Grandma & Grandpa,

I am so excited to have you come home from your mission in Africa. Okay, I really don't remember you, but Mom, Dad, Gavin and Enoch keep talking about you coming home, so I'm excited too. Anything Enoch is excited about, I'm on board. Truthfully, I'm mostly looking forward to going to the airport and seeing the planes!
Please don't be offended if I don't want to hug you or even look at you at the airport. I'm quite shy. I'll just stick close to Mom and Dad until I get to know you better. Once I've been around you a few times, I'll feel better. I really don't like new situations and it takes me awhile to figure them out.
Also, please don't be surprised if I cry a lot. What can I say? I'm two and a girl. I've been a bit cranky lately. I keep trying to do things on my own and it just isn't working out the way it should. Plus, I have these brothers who like to tease me. I love them lots, but really, how much can a girl take?
Mom keeps telling me that we get to go camping with you in a little while. I love being outside. I especially love taking walks. Mom says that Grandpa loves taking walks too, so we can do that together. I also love reading books. You gave me some really fun books for Christmas. Maybe Grandma could read them to me?
I'm happy that you are coming home. I'm excited to show you my twirly dresses, my bike and play oven with food. I can't wait to see you.

Love,
Kate
PS - If you take me out for ice cream, I'll be your best friend in the world!

Dear Miss Kate:
We are so excited to come home from Africa! We already knew you would not remember us. We'll get reacquainted "slowly by slowly" (that's how they say it in Africa). I already knew that you are quiet and shy and careful with new situations, but you have a wonderful mother who is also careful and she has reminded us in a cute way. We will let you get to know us in any way you want and you can take as long as you want. We will be so happy to take you camping with us and we will go on a walk with you WHENEVER you want to. We will read as many books as you want because we will have lots of time when we come home. I can't wait to see your "twirly dresses", your bike and your play oven with food. When I see the African children as we drive down the road, I wave to them and they smile and wave back. I will be happy to wave to you when we get home. I love you, Miss Kate. P.S. Grandpa and I are the king and queen of ice cream--we'll be happy to share some with you!

I like Airplanes too, Ice Cream and walks, how can we miss enjoying lots of fun, yes we might be shy too. We have been working in offices to much and not a lot of out side activity Looking a little bit more chubby. We look forward to seeing all and doing activities together. No rush, just want to drive normal again.
LOVE GRANDPA RANDALL

Kate writes nice letters :)
We were sitting behind you guys today and I noticed Kate's cute hair-do! So fun. She was peeking at us with just her eyeballs sticking up over the back of the bench....like she thought if she kept the rest of her face hidden, we wouldn't be able to see her. heehee such a cute girl :)

Note to self: Kate likes ice cream. Maybe she'll enjoy some Aggie ice cream from up north. :)
