A Bittersweet Day

Sunday was bittersweet for me. After being in the Primary Presidency for three years, our presidency was released. I will miss the children so much. They have taught me a great deal about being kind, curious and accepting. I will always remember their examples of making the right choice because it is the right thing to do. We were surrounded by amazing children and I will always be thankful for their spirits and the time I spent with them. I will miss the Cub Scouts most of all. They are wonderful boys and I know their futures are very bright.
I will also miss The Primary Ladies (as Cache Poulson called our presidency). I have enjoyed working with four incredible women for the last three years and I have no idea what to do without them. That first Sunday in Relief Society will be scary!
What a great blessing this has been in my life. I hope I did some good in Primary. I hope that Heavenly Father is pleased with my efforts. I will miss Primary!

You did good, friend, you did good.
I feel the same way you do.

Callings are bittersweet. You did a lot of hard work and know all the kids were affected by your teachings and the spirit. Now on to the next calling . . . maybe a stake calling? :)

You were awsome in primary! You will be missed. But now (or as soon as Kate is in nursery) we can sit together in RS. And sew some cute clothes for the girls, while the boys go to pre-school!

The bittersweet feelings you have are a sure sign that you came to love the children and loved serving them. That's just what Heavenly Father wanted. You've learned a lot as you've taught a lot. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Dad and I are "well pleased."

I have only cried twice when released from a calling, and one of them was primary president. I loved it as well. It's a very rewarding calling, and the rewards are often immediate. I know you will be great doing whatever they ask you to do next.

I understand completely! Just enjoy your time "off" because something else will come along soon and you'll be great at that too! Thanks for serving in our ward! You guys all did great. I'll miss you guys in Primary

I'm missing you guys already. You were all so amazing and I will always cherish the good times we had serving together. I'm glad we get to sit together in Relief Society, church just wouldn't be the same without you next to me!
