Today I received an unsolicited compliment from each of my children. It was so nice, thoughtful and really made my day. I'm writing them down so I can remember when I feel unappreciated!
Gavin - "Dinner was really good tonight, Mom." We had biscuits and gravy - one of his favorites.
Enoch - "Thanks for making vacation books, Mom. I really like looking at them and remembering how much fun we had." He read our South Dakota book for bedtime reading.
Kate - "That was a really fun Family Home Evening. Thanks for doing that." We talked about Abinadi and how making good choices is really hard sometimes. I made some Choose your Own Choices books (like choose your own adventures) and they were a big hit - except for Gavin who got stuck in the one endless loop I didn't catch.
Guard - "Mom, you look really pretty today." Aww! He's so sweet!
I really do have great kids!

These are precious and sweet memories and you are so wise to journal them! I love your vacation books, too! I will give you a compliment, too: You are a wonderful mother!
