I love Christmas Eve - even more than Christmas morning.
We spent the day having fun, cleaning and planning for the night. Uncle Jarom spent the day with us and Greg was able to come home from work early. We were snowed in, so we spent the day inside. Plus, Kate and Guard were still quite sick, so a movie or visiting family was out.
The kids requested fish for dinner so we had a yummy dinner of tilapia, french fries and brussel sprouts.
After dinner, we decorated cookies for Santa. The kids had a great time and picked out their special cookies to leave for Santa. We left four cookies and we weren't sure if Santa could eat all of them; maybe he will feed some to his elves or reindeer.
We have traditional presents we get on Christmas Eve and the kids look forward to them with great anticipation. The kids opened pajamas with slippers, book and a pillowcase (which was something new I added this year).
Yep, I crocheted Gavin slippers. I would work on them during Kate's gym class and people would ask who I knew who had feet that big. Gavin liked them, which made me very happy (since those weren't the easiest things to finish!).
What a wonderful picture for me! To see my incredible, beautiful children wearing things that I made with love makes me so joyful. Sappy, I know, but I spent a lot of time sewing for this Christmas.
Now, off to bed so Santa can come!

I think your Christmas Eve traditions are so fun! Your children will have such good memories of those fun times together! You are one creative mama! Gavin's slippers are amazing! I learned to crochet slippers in Primary when I was 11. I made a pair for my Grandpa Jordan who had surgery. I had forgotten all about it until I saw the ones you made!
