Who needs naps?

Who needs naps? I do, I do! Kate doesn't.

Last week Kate learned how to climb out of her crib. I'm so not ready for this. As soon as my kids climb out of their cribs, the naps are over. I'm lucky with Kate. She is 23 months. Gavin was 18 months and Enoch was 20 months. I'm not ready to have no naps.

PS - Kate finally fell asleep on her bedroom floor after screaming for 45 minutes. She slept for 20 minutes. I'm tired just thinking about losing my nap time.

I intalled a lock on the outside of Rachel's door. She would cry for 45 minutes and fall asleep on the floor outside next to the door or in the closet in the bouncy seat. I felt mean, but we all really, really needed her to nap. I feel your pain!

If only you could reason with a toddler and explain to them just how much happier everyone would be. Just maybe you can get a few more naps out of her!

Bad, bad Kate! I will have a melt down when Ava stops taking naps. Hopefully she'll be like I was, and take naps until kindergarden. Not likely.

Spencer started climbing out of his crib VERY early, so I bought a crib tent (Dr. Weissbluth endorses them!). It is the best purchase I've EVER made. It was worth every over-priced penny! Hang in there!

CRIB TENT! i love it and want to keep him in it until he is 5. you don't have to give up naps. that's insane. they need them. when fred started climbing out we ordered it and had it shipped over-night. we even travel with it.

Oh I am so sorry. I know how valuable nap time is! I am sorry and I hope they aren't completely over!

Great Idea on the tent crib, also what about just laying down with her your self. Tell her Grandpa has a nap everyday and I will nap with here after we are home. LOVE GRANDPA RANDALL

I think the crib tent sounds like an inspired idea. I would definitely try one. I'm guessing that Enoch would want to get in it with her, he loves building tents and forts so much! Too bad they can't nap together! Seek for inspiration; you'll know what to do.
